Many people spend their whole life frantically piling up money and property. As Americans we “want it all” right now. Somehow, we have this ability to suppress the truth that “we all die.” God never intended for us to set our hearts on the stuff of this earth which is passing away. Just before His death, Daniel was told by God, “You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance” (Daniel 12:13). Imagine, God has prepared an inheritance just for you! Live faithfully in this world with an eye to your true riches ahead!
