In the youth group on Wednesday night, Jessica DeFilippo shared a powerful message interwoven with her testimony. During the message, she quoted the pastor/author John Piper concerning our outlook on life and God. Piper wrote, “You exist forever. There is no use protesting that you did not ask to exist and would like not to. This is not an option. You and God are both in the universe to stay—either as friends on His terms, or enemies.” When I heard Jessica read this, I breathed a silent prayer asking God to allow me to always live as His friend…on His terms!
