A WORD FROM PASTOR MARK
A growing Christian is one who forces himself to reflect upon the Lord and all He has done. In our fleshly nature, we tend to forget all of God’s blessings and His answers to our prayers. The Psalmist addressed this and said to God’s people, “When our fathers were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses, and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea” (Psalm 106:7). The Israelites saw with their own eyes the miracles and power of God, but they “gave no thought.” They failed to consider or comprehend God’s ways and dismissed His kindness. As a result, when trials came, their faith was so low that they gave way to complaining, murmuring, and rebellion. Let’s learn from the past! Take time to pray and meditate upon the Lord and His faithfulness. If you “remember” God, you will find faith and strength for the journey and avoid the pits into which others have fallen.
