MEET OUR PASTORAL CANDIDATES
January 30, 2011 by admin.
Paul and Ann Martin:
Paul and Ann come from a rich heritage in Assemblies of God ministry. Ann grew up in Wyoming and at a young age received a call to prepare for a life of service to the Lord. After arriving at Central Bible College that calling was further clarified as a missionary call. She and Bryon Niles were married and began a 20 year missionary career until, following a 2 ½ year battle with cancer, Byron went to be with the Lord. Ann continued her missionary service for the next 11 years as a widowed single mother of 2 girls, Keisa and Bevin.
Paul grew up in a pastor’s home in Canada. At age 13, he received a call to give his life to the Lord, adding, “And, I’ll take any assignment You give me.” Paul and Janice Gordon were married and went to Central Bible College to begin preparation for the call. After graduation they launched into 27 years of ministry assignments and were blessed with 4 children: Troy, Timothy, Tiffany and Tara. After a car accident, which resulted in Janice being called to her eternal home, the Lord sovereignly brought Ann and Paul together to continue their lives of service to Him.
As a result of the tragedies they have faced and the ensuing blended family of 6 children and 14 grandchildren, they understand many of the challenges facing people today. It is their desire to avail the composite of their life experiences to the Lord for His purposes. More specifically, the Lord’s church has always been central to their vision and calling. Their God-given gifts, broad-based experiences and Divine calling uniquely qualify them to serve as shepherd-leaders for local church ministry.
