LOBBY EXPANSION

  • We now have the permits in hand to begin construction of the new lobby space. For this we praise the Lord. Over the past few months, I have been seeking the Lord for His direction in funding this construction. I’ve been directed to the funding strategy for building the tent of meeting as recorded in Exodus 35 and 36. Look at the phrase in Verse 6, “from what you have”. Here’s what I sense the Lord is saying to us.  We are to bring offerings from what we have, our “stuff”. We can cash it out and bring an offering to the Lord.  As a church, we are taking the lead. We have sold a copier on Craig’s List that hasn’t been used in almost 3 years. The $300 is going into the Lobby Expansion Fund.  The Administration and Ministry Teams are going to continue the purge of our stuff, liquidate what we do not need, are not using, or are willing to do without, in order to build the new lobby space.  Here’s the challenge: From what we have, let’s do the same in our homes, our basements, our garages, our closets. I believe the $186,000 we need to build debt-free is already at our disposal.  Look at Verse 21 and 22:  “Everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting. All who were willing, men and women alike”.  Remember, as is true for all giving, it is free will as prompted by our love for others and His work.
  • I love the ensuing outcome Moses and the builders experienced. “And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning (36:3). The story continues, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done”. Then Moses sent the word out that there was more than enough to complete the work.  WOW!  I am believing for the same outcome for us, more than enough to complete the construction of the lobby expansion.  Will you join me?  Let’s seek the Lord what He would have us sell to build our new lobby ministry space.
  • For HIM, and those He loves. PAUL R. MARTIN, Lead Pastor
