  • We also extend sympathy to Ann Marie Mead and her family on the death of her beloved husband, Bill Mead, who passed away on Monday morning, Nov. 21. Bill was a part of our congregation.
  • Monday evening our sister Janet Fenwick went to be with the Lord. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer only days ago. Her daughter, Jean Rogers, is on our church council.
  • Please also pray for:
  • Jill, a sister in Christ, who entered rehab this week. She needs our prayers daily as she is on the road to recovery.
  • Roger Monteiro, Sr. –for God to heal his heart and to reunite with all his children

  • Doris Beauvais—Healing and strength

LOBBY EXPANSION

  • We are standing in faith for a debt free completion of the new lobby space. The strategy the Lord has put before us is from the story of the construction of the Tabernacle in Exodus 35 and 36.  Please take the time to read through these two chapters.  It will help grow our faith. Here are some phrases to help us capture what can be done.
  • FROM WHAT WE HAVE…
  • We are asking everyone to prayerfully look at what we have.  It may be a piece of furniture not being used, some tools collecting dust, books that could be sold on Amazon, clothing, jewelry, equipment…… the list goes on. The point is to sell it and give the proceeds to help complete the lobby expansion. Debt free is doable and by God’s grace the vision will be accomplished.
  • ALL WHOSE HEARTS WERE WILLING…
  • In God’s economy, all giving is freewill. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to prompt participation and we have already seen the Holy Spirit at work. Coins, a percentage of rental income, a part of an inheritance, free will offering…. It’s working.  Let’s believe together for an over the top, above and beyond financial breakthrough.
  • MORE THAN ENOUGH…
  • What a God-size conclusion to the fund raising for the Tabernacle.  An announcement went out that no more donations were needed.  Moses declared they had received, “More than enough.” This will be historical when the $186,533.02 has been received and we send out a notice that no more donations are needed, we have received more than enough. Yes Lord! Do it again, Lord!
  • For HIM and those He loves,
  • PAUL R. MARTIN, Lead Pastor

FAMILY THANKSGIVING WORSHIP

  • Thanksgiving clearly finds its mooring in God’s Word.  Unfortunately, each year it seems to become increasingly squeezed out between Halloween and Christmas (two of the larger consumer holidays on the yearly calendar).  Merchandise sales are of much less importance, compared to developing the Biblical mindset of giving thanks.  Let’s set aside time around our dinner tables to express gratefulness to the Lord for His bountiful blessings.
  • The Biblical Basis for Thanksgiving Day:
    • Have someone at the table read Leviticus 23:15-17, 23.
    • Have someone at the table read 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
  • Three things we can give thanks for:
    • Have each person at the table give three things they are thankful for.
    • Communion (if you are comfortable)
      • If you are comfortable in doing so, ask everyone to take a piece of bread in hand as you in prayer express thanks to God for Jesus. Then eat the bread together. Also have everyone take a cup of juice. Offer thanks to God for Jesus laying down his sinless life so our sins can be forgiven.  Ask everyone to take a sip while giving thanks for Jesus.
    • Have everyone participate in a closing prayer
  • If you have access to a copy or the internet have someone read Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Day proclamation, a link is provided below.

LOBBY EXPANSION

  • Over the past few months, I have been seeking the Lord for His direction in funding this construction. I’ve been directed to the funding strategy for building the tent of meeting as recorded in Exodus 35 and 36. Look at the phrase in Verse 6, “from what you have”. Here’s what I sense the Lord is saying to us.  We are to bring offerings from what we have, our “stuff”. We can cash it out and bring an offering to the Lord.  Here’s the challenge: From what we have, let’s do the same in our homes, our basements, our garages, our closets. I believe the $186,000 we need to build debt-free is already at our disposal. Look at Verse 21 and 22:  “Everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting. All who were willing, men and women alike.”  Remember, as is true for all giving, it is free will as prompted by our love for others and His work.
  • I love the ensuing outcome Moses and the builders experienced. “And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning (36:3).” The story continues, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.” Then Moses sent the word out that there was more than enough to complete the work.  WOW!  I am believing for the same outcome for us, more than enough to complete the construction of the lobby expansion. Will you join me?  Let’s seek the Lord what He would have us sell to build our new lobby ministry space.
  • For HIM, and those He loves.

    • VOICE OF THE MARTYRS
    • From Tom White, Executive Director: “This month we continue to explore and move ahead in supplying Christians in Libya with Bibles and other forms of aid. Even though Libya has just passed Sharia (Islamic) law, we are still called to be obedient to the Great Commission mandate. It would be easy in this chaotic world to withdraw into our shell like a turtle, but then we would lose our brief opportunity be part of the body of Christ on earth. In a few days I leave for Indonesia, the most populous Muslim nation in the world. Churches there are closed by hostile neighbors on a monthly basis, but the sheep always find pasture, even if it means meeting in the street.”

We have sold a copier on Craig’s List that hasn’t been used in almost 3 years. The $300 is going into the Lobby Expansion Fund.  The Administration and Ministry Teams are going to continue the purge of our stuff, liquidate what we do not need, are not using, or are willing to do without, in order to build the new lobby space. LOBBY EXPANSION

  • We now have the permits in hand to begin construction of the new lobby space. For this we praise the Lord. Over the past few months, I have been seeking the Lord for His direction in funding this construction. We can cash it out and bring the offering to the Lord. We can cash it out and bring offering to the Lord. As a church, we are taking the lead. All who were willing, men and women alike”.  Remember, as is true for all giving, it is free will as prompted by our love for others and His work. I love the ensuing outcome Moses and the builders experienced. “And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning ( 36:3 ). The story continues, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done”. Then Moses sent the word out that there was more than enough to complete the work.  WOW!  I am believing for the same outcome for us, more than enough to complete the construction of the lobby expansion.  Will you join me?  Let’s seek the Lord what He would have us sell to build our new lobby ministry space. For HIM, and those He loves.PAUL R. MARTIN, Lead Pastor
