This is a time of discussion of the previous week’s homework, singing, praise, prayer for one another, and the presentation of a new lesson in the series on The Beatitudes. For the next twelve weeks, we will spend two weeks on each lesson. Tuition is $1.00 per person each week. To learn more, stop by the Welcome Center where you will have the opportunity to sign up.   • Holiday Concert (December 7). The Montachusett Chorale will once again perform a Holiday Concert in Tata Auditorium at Leominster City Hall to benefit the Hospitality Network. The concert is today at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $15.00 at the door.
  • A Christmas Carol (December 7, 12, 13, 14). Cornerstone Performing Arts will perform this classic through music and dance at Phillips Hall, First Parish Church, 923 Main St, Fitchburg. Today and next Sunday, performance time is 2:00 PM. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:00 PM. You may purchase tickets by calling 978.345.2915 or at www.cpacFitchburg.org.
  • Hospitality Network is Moving (December 10). This Wednesday, MIHN will move from its current location in Fitchburg to its new location. The shelter will now be located at 196 Mechanic Street, Leominster. This is in the Catholic Charities building on the St.
  • Cecilia’s campus. Volunteers are needed, and if you have a truck—great. If you can help, please call Art at 978.342.3294.
  • Adopt-a-Student Christmas Ministry (December 10). Teen Challenge Boston students are in need of our help this Christmas. They are separated from family and loved ones, and many of them will not receive gifts. If you’d like to adopt a student and provide a gift for him, please call Kenny Johnson or Fred Svenson at 617.442.6531 ASAP—by this Wednesday at the latest. Thank you and God bless!
  • Dreams and Wishes (December 13). This event will take place at Common Ground, 1:00-4;00 PM. Donations of money are needed as well as gifts for children: new bikes, toys, coats, mittens, and gloves. Items can be placed in the box in the foyer.
  • Hospitality Network Rotation (December 14-21). The women and children at the homeless shelter depend on our heart of Christ. We need people to help by giving a small amount of time to host or just by making a simple meal for the families. Without help from volunteers, we cannot fulfill our commitment to these families or do what Jesus has asked of us. Please stop by the MIHN table to volunteer today. We’ll be at the new location: 196 Mechanic Street, Leominster.

  • Buddy Barrel Contest. You can still cast your vote for the best decorated Buddy Barrel. Just stop by the table in the foyer and drop a quarter (or more if you desire) into the barrel behind your favorite entry and help the children’s mission giving go way over the top this year!

  • Thanksgiving at Common Ground.  A meal will be served for the homeless and needy. Ten pre-cooked meals (per Board of Health) that serve 10 people at $55-$60, beverages, and paper goods must be purchased. If you would like to make a donation, please make your check payable to Leominster Assembly of God, and write “Common Ground Thanksgiving” in the memo. Most importantly, please pray that lives will be touched for Christ.
  • Church Newsletter. If you would like to receive the bimonthly newsletter, “The Harvest Call,” please fill out a form at the Welcome Center and turn it in there or at the church office.
  • Care Packages for Military. If you have an immediate family member presently serving in the military, please call the church office with his/her name and address ASAP or  e-mail John Bell at: coachjbell@verizon.net. The Royal Rangers boys’ clubs will be writing letters and putting together care packages for them for Christmas.

  • Teen Challenge Banquet (November 22). The Fitchburg Girls’ Teen Challenge will hold a fundraising Fall Harvest Banquet at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel (150 Royal Plaza Drive, Fitchburg). This will be a special night of gourmet dining, powerful testimonies, and a moving presentation by the girls. The cost is $35 per person. You can reserve your seat by picking up a form at the Welcome Center or through the church office.

  • MIHN Volunteer Training (Today). A policy and procedures training will be held at 1:00 this afternoon for all volunteers—past, present, and future—at Faith United Church, 820 Main Street, Fitchburg. Come and brush up on your hosting and communication skills for the homeless families that we serve at the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
  • Election Day (November 4). Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday, and be an informed voter. Presidential and state representative voter guides are located at the Welcome Center.
  • New Series Begins (November 5). At the School of the Word and Spirit on Wednesday nights at 6:30, a new one-month series will begin: “Growing a Thankful Spirit.” This week we will take a look at Psalm 103 as Pastor Dave teaches on “Forget Not.” Come on out and join us!
